Ilene Leff and Carolyn Setlow, co-chairs of the Coalition’s Social Action Committee, would like you to be aware of and invite you to this important upcoming community event.
It is sponsored by the WCOC, Washington Council of Congregations (WCOC) and to benefit local food banks and the needy. The “tikkun olam” effort was developed by our recently formed collaboration of seven faith partners in the Town of Washington, of which the Coalition is a proud member. WCOC’s mission and practice is to address local basic needs in the community, an urgent and greatly increased issue since the arrival of the pandemic.
Their (fifth!) food drive will be held at the Salem Covenant Church, 96 Baldwin Hill Rd., Washington Depot. You can support the “Drive-Thru”by donating products (shelf-stable food, personal care and household cleaning items), and/or with cash or a check payment.
