Drawing from decades of their combined experience both as federal prosecutors and private attorneys representing whistleblowers in civil litigation, Edward Baker and Wayne Lamprey will discuss — the various types of whistleblowers, the dilemma whistleblowers face in deciding whether to step forward to report unethical or illegal conduct, the laws that protect and reward whistleblowers in some circumstances and whether our legal system provides them with too much or too little voice in addressing fraud and corruption.
Guest speaker Edward Baker is Of Counsel in Constance Cannon’s Washington, D.C. office and although he represents a broad range of whistleblower clients, his expertise is in healthcare fraud. Wayne Lamprey represents clients in general and complex commercial litigation in California, and has been rated “Super Lawyer” for many years by his peers.
