A short service marking the end of Shabbat and starting the new week with blessings and songs. We will use wine, spices and a twisted candle in beautiful ritual.
Marking of Tisha B’Av. A fast day in Judaism which commemorates the destruction of both Solomon’s Temple and the Second Temple. It is commemorated by reading from the Book of Lamentations and singing sad songs called Kinnot. We will hear pieces of these songs, and also talk about the healing power of grief.
